Ski for Sight 2014

Ski for Sight – January 26th, 2014

In keeping with our motto, “We Serve,” and the Lions International commitment to aiding the visually impaired, we were proud once again to help sponsor Ski for Sight. Along with other clubs in our District, we hosted a group of 80 visually impaired individuals for a weekend of fun and excitement that they may not have otherwise experienced, given their disabilities.

Traditionally, the weekend starts in Dekalb, and includes skiing, ice fishing, hayrack rides, bowling, dancing and a lot of good times. Our club hosted bingo and lunch on Sunday. We are especially proud of our Leo Club, who volunteer at the event every year.

The Kane County Chronicle covered the event, publishing the article “Bingo fun rules at Elburn Lions Club party.”
